Mystical and Kung-Fuey weather
Took my morning 5-mi ride in this (helmet, but no watch or HR band)
My Great Big Fat Haibike ride
One more day of spring break, rain scheduled for noon, so I left early
Mirror & "blue goggles": they let you see beneath the surface...
DDell to LCC Rd, then the down bound rd, Wasatch, PWood, 20th E, and home.
Friday after work, in drizzle, 9.6-mi, 15.9-mph, PTE=2.6, 635-ft elev gain
duo-pants, t-shirt, UPF shirt, green jacket, helmet, gloves, Ambit2, HR strap, footpod, 4236 steps for 4/6/18.
Google Earth plan for this morning's bike ride: decent distance & vertical.
This told me to go CCW to get the big vertical done early.
Big Square: Haibike before others were out.
9th/7th very flat, nice bike lane. 10600 S no bike lane. Wasatch good bike lane. Ft. Union partial, thin, bike lane. 209-mi, so $11.48/mi. 24,000-mi will get my cost per mile down to $0.10, the goal I set for new vehicles. 6.6 years if I can sustain 209-mi/3-wk use rate.
Sunday "10+ miles in 40 minutes", w watch paused for 3.16-mi
omitted 106th to 13th to Buttercup to 98th...
Monday night, after dinner, Haibike ride for 520-ft vertical, 7.3-mi
Stopped to take a pic of a few dozen deer in Dee's coral, but left my phone home..
New route, easy ride with a queazy stomach since Wendy's yesterday.
This makes 9-mi and about 85 min of elevated HR. Great day to be outside.
10,619 "steps" for the day. Closing on .5m steps.. So exciting.
A walk, after two months of mostly Haibiking. Picked up a bit of trash too.
4+ miles, 570+ kcal, 230' vertical, 60+ minutes. Worthy.
First LCC ride: Haibike makes Snowbird reachable, pretty sure about that.
~9 mph up LCC, ~35 mph down LCC, avg 14.5 mph, met a guy who's chain popped near the LaCaille sign. Couldn't help him but stopped to check if he had a flat.
Sunday morning Haibike ride, 55 degrees, good vertical, HR monitor bonkers)
Final April move - 8.2-mi, 584' ascending, PTE=3.3
