I installed v1.2.1 firmware this week (5/1/13), which, among other things, improves single-point focus with a telephoto+teleconverter. I like the new software.
The new firmware also exports uncompressed clean HDMI: I ordered a SmallHD AC7 to see what that's about. It may help w focusing while shooting video in dark auditoriums.

The winter birds were 10' away, captured with a 300mm lens with a 2.0TC: 0.34" DOF.
